Desde mi punto de vista aquí agregaría que es importante decir sin miedo cuando no entendamos a la otra persona, decir: - Sorry?

Y si solo quieres confirmar que estás entendiendo bien: - Let me see if I understand well, you said that...
- Do you mean that...
- What you want to say is...
- If I understand well you mean that...
- If I am correct you mean that...
- To bring your point of view according a some specific topic.
- Create a little introduction of the topic
- Write the advantanges that you identify of this
- Write the disadvantages
- Write a conclusion
