Active

Passive

• The Subject or personal pronoun + Verb to be + action 
• The victim is brought forward to the front of the sentence
• The objet of the active sentence becomes the subject of the passive sentence
• Pp + Verb to be + Context (the cause is eliminated)
• Past participle 
• The doer or cause of the action is omitted
• The passive puts the focus on the result or the receiver of the action 

 The child was burned badly

Reported speech 

• Past + that + ,  o "" (comma, quotation mark)
• Change to past 
• Is a different way to drafting (redaction )
